What a Difference a Year Makes....

Theres no denying that 2009 was a bumpy year for the real estate industry, particularly in Arizona. However, there is good news emerging. While median listing prices for single-family homes and condos are down 13.4 percent from $202,186 in January 2009 to $177,000 in January 2010, a lot more homes are selling now than a year ago. Home sales for the Phoenix Metro Valley are up nearly 60 percent in January 2010, versus where they were in January 2009.

The charts below reflect Active Listings, Listings Pending with Contingencies, Pending Listings, and Closed Sales for January 2009 and January 2010.
